Is it time to get ready to get away from my spot with mandatory evaqs occurring due to the awesome surf and deadly storm?

The longer you wait the worse the traffic will get. Sucks to get stuck on the road with a Cat 4 approaching. It's easier to survive the wind than the water. Heed the warnings of local officials.

I'd have left a couple days ago. What are you waiting for? Be safe.

Depends on where your at right now chas looks decent lotta rain breezy 35+ winds this ones hard to nail down
Lot of moving pieces and high hasn’t built in yet
but models are consistent with nc sc border or higher north...things can change quickly though so pack a bag grab some cash and be ready to head to Jacksonville just in case at least the beach won’t be closed down there....

Boards waxed and ready! I'll evacuate to the nearest beach!

I evacuated 200 miles in shore... My place is at ground zero. Hopefully have a place to go back to. Monday early evening it was firing but above my pay grade! I brought my board out, turned around put it away, made a stiff drink and sat on the beach and watched some of the younger locals shred.

^^^ That little wooden board with "Rentals" written on it may end up in Lumberton.
