Looked fun this morning on the ride in to work. Go get some buoys. Hope there's some left over for me before dark.

7:47 AM...breaking head high, disorganized, waiting for wind to switch to NW, and tides to recede.
Then....maybe. But I do be ready.

yesterday had a fun holding swell. got in at hi tide with a couple buds who of course downed it until they got out there n said it was awesome. what happened to being optimistic? not cool anymore? rode 3 boards - my LB, 7'2" hog molly fisch, n a buddy's 7'6" NSP lager. small drift south, but peeling just fine n crowd backed off soon after hi tide. had a late drop n caught a backside with a hand on the tail n other on guidding the wave - def a yoga pose. we rode for a couple hrs, and there were still plenty left with an empty lineup - good times. Missed out on NotASeal's sess on Saturday, landed at 13th with a couple guys an hour or more after- same dudes from Sunday - took out 6'4 perfection and had a handful of drops but nothing memorable despite the bigger size, more chop. good to be out there - temps were in the 60s, so putting on and off the suite were no hassles. curious to hear from our WC folks cuz they got DOH all week -what's going out there?

Another fun session on the LB this morning. Air temp 48-49 degrees before sunrise and through most of the session with N / NW wind making it a bit chilly but the waves were really fun so it was worth being out there. The swell came down a notch from yesterday but still had plenty of energy for some waist high peelers and the occassional chest high set would roll through every 20 minutes or so. Mostly lefts, similar to yesterday but not quite as clean and not quite as big, but plenty fun none-the-less. What a fun little run of swell we've had.

Also, I just want to say how happy I am for Yankee. Dude had the knee issue a while back and he tried a new procedure which seemed to work. Then he had his appendix go on him which set him back a bit, but then he got back in the water, then he tweaked his knee again in CR and had another procedure done and went right back to CR and got him some all time waves. Couldn't be happier for the dude!

Yeah, I remember reading about his knee, right back out and charging hard, good stuff.
Mr B told me about how much you've helped on his upcoming PR trip. Good looking out DP, you won't find a more appreciative guy. Big Karma points brother

Thanks man, yeah he's going to be sending me a gift as a token of his appreciation. Solid dude. I don't ever expect anything in return for a little bit of information / advise. That's what we're here for right? Share experiences with each other and help one another out, and of course give each other a hard time here and there! :D

Nice pics Yank, but you should have asked Metard to photoshop Patrick Swayze's (Bodhi) face in place of yours.

I've been surfing a verymmixed bag of waves and boards lately, with conditions ranging from OH and pitching to shoulder high choppe to knee to waist peelers. Work and family have gotten in the way of the best conditions, or me heading north on the smaller days like yesterday. But I had a plan...

Don't fight with the wife, just take a Morey boogie (first time in 15 years) and some fins to our local and catch some weak groundswell on the incoming high tide, which prevented me from thinking about bringing the LB. I would have broken it in the shore pound.

Got a bunch of weak little waves, but they were all head to OH LOL. To be honest it was exhausting, all that kicking to catch a five second ride. Now my ass is sore from all the kicking with the fins... I'll never bodyboard againne.

You would NOT be fighting with your wife if you banged her more often.
Works for me. I can go surfing anytime I want.
Get to it man!! Bang away!!!

Been surfing around central and south Florida last 8 days. Checked Melbourne area a couple days...not really working. Found fun waves further south near Stuart/Fort Pierce Inlet/Coral Cove Park Jupiter Island. Also SS Jupiter inlet for the lefts!

Thanks to Island Water Sports for the Rusty and CI demo boards. poly boards not tuflites. Really liked the 5'7" Dwart 2 quad. Haven't spent a dime yet....walked in looking to rent...guy tells me the demo boards are free.....I'm like yeah I'm here for 8 days....he says no problem!

Nooner sesh yesterday. Knew there wasn't going to be much out there when when everyone was getting out of the water and leaving. But there was no help for it. I'm still working and had only this one window of opportunity to get in the water.
There were swells but very few building to surf-able faces. It was 45 minutes of paddling around and only three rides from all that. Still, I much prefer it to eating lunch in the office lunch room. Water in mid-upper 40s. Air upper 40s.
Should prolly ask Santa for new boots. I've about worn through the soles of my old smelly Xcels. New gloves too, I think. I've patched 'em up a couple times but not sure how I wore through the finger tips.

Yea I had a late day sess (dead high) that ended up being a floating/stand up and sink fest. Managed to pull of a couple fun waves which is totally better than J-ing the D like I would have been if I didnt surf. This weekend is lining up nice for an ealy x-mas present. Need new booties too. At least its not ice cream headaches yet.
