For this family, it was a very eventful 2018 which included among other things a daughter's marriage, one son entering the Army, the other son earning his Master's degree (on his way to new job in Seattle today), and my retirement. Here's wishing everyone a blessed 2019! My New Years resolutions? Lose 20 lbs, be more positive, play the banjo more, ...oh, and clean up that damn garage!
merry new year everyone!!! I just want to state I hate everyone who says new year new me lol.its like what happened to the other 30 years. waves are pretty sweet right now in nj,light moderate swell, very windy.thought about goin out but I got a lot of cleaning to do. only thing I want to do is start going to the gym more and surf more.think I gained like 25lbs this past year, pretty sad cause I was skinny my whole life lol.i just want to lose some weight
Here is to the new year! I hope all swellers and dwellers get their fill this year. Think about something you can do for someone else. Catch a copious amount of waves! Make good decisions. Plan a surf trip ( I hear the Hawaiian Islands are cool). Focus on getting out of debt. Find something in your life that is really bad...I mean really holding you back, or breaking you down, or creating stress etcz....drill down in to it. Find relief from that which hinders you and your daily! Surf more. And don’t be a DICK! And surf more... Peace out you hooligans!
We two have paddled in the stream, from morning sun till dine. But seas between us broad have roared since auld lang syne.
Row, row, row your boat Gently down the stream Merrily, merrily, merrily, merrily Life is but a dream ________________________________________ I will die. A small amount of people will be sad for three days. And then they will watch tv. _______________________________________ Ergo......surf more!
I focused on my brain last year, read a bunch of great books but still fell short of my goal. This year is about cardio. Setting some very low goals to get started, with hope it will go somewhere.
This isn't a new year's resolution but i decided to do more to score more waves. If there's swell but winds at home are trash, I'm heading south or north it's somthing iv always done but generally only on big swells. Well now I'm doing it regardless. Just to get that extra water time. And my side rant.........no offense to anyone. But the whole new year's resolution thing i find really dumb. Sort of. It's great to create a goal and work towards it. But why wait to new years? Why is a new year needed? If you have a reason to set a goal and work towards it, then set the damn goal and work for it. Motivate yourself. I get the symbolism and tradition. And i get that some people DO set goals throughout the year then also make a new year's resolution ot of tradition. But for those who don't and only set a goal at new year's..... that's your problem. Your nw years resolution should be to set more goals throughout the year. Your life will improve
Yeah never been there, but interesting story. Some time ago, I surfed and hung out with a guy who was raised in Bozeman and was going to San Diego State. I was an avid skier at the time (along with surfing) and he told me about his Montana upbringing, and he talked a lot about how good Big Sky was. Both of us had skied all over the Rockies but he reiterated that Big Sky was every bit as good as the spots we'd skied in Colorado, Utah and California. Always been interested in checking it out, but the farthest east I've ever skied was Schweitzer in North Idaho.
