Here's some old school boogie woogie multi cultural American jam on MLK Day....been drinking all day hey hey HAW HAW HAW!!!
I watched the old Severson movie Pacific Vibrations this past weekend. Great soundtrack. Influenced by this, I've been listening to Cream's Disraeli Gears non-stop the past two days.
found my new pre surf music amp. The whole thing is so good, but if you need a quick pick me up. HAWKMEN? DIVE!!!!!!!
5 hours of dead jams today. Not even at the 1/2 hr mark. you tube comment. "Woven like a seamless tapestry of sonic glory"
Been listening to these guys and a lot of the Sugar Shack sessions to help me get through the bleak Winter up here.
Steep Canyon Rangers. Wife and I saw them last night at the 2nd annual Bluegrass and Brewfest at the American Theater in Hampton VA. Excellent band, excellent show. Some good local craft beers as well. We went last year, and it was just as much fun.
June 1977, Miami Baseball Stadium, Animals Tour I just graduated HS, went with a buddy (The Mighty Quinn) and a couple of red hot goils. We brought Red Colombian weed, Locker Room inhalers, strawberry mescaline, Southern Comfort, folding chairs, and got to the very front of the stage and set up. We had Havana cigars, and planned to fire them up when they sang "Come on over here boy, have a cigar, you're gonna go far." They came out on stage, we got instantly stampeded against the retaining wall, chairs smashed. They opened with the entire "Wish You Were Here" album, cover to cover. We migrated to the center of the mixing tower, and then they did cover to cover "Animals" - the flying pig crashed in mid flight. "Sheep" and "Dogs" were unfucking believable!!! They encored with "Us and Them" ,"Money" and "Dark Side of the Moon". One of the best shows I've ever been to. Maybe THE best. Top 5 definitely.
Ahhh, Rico Chavez saw that strap falling off her shoulder and was like...”here we go, it’s on!!!” Sweet video...she is one talented Orio!!!
