Global Warming: Fact or Fiction?

The planet is not really doomed; perhaps the surface is a bit, some of the critters, but once we do ourselves in (which we will, most assuredly), plate tectonics will continue its endless repair of the planets surface. Of course, a few billion from now, the planet is doomed, as the sun expands into a huge red star and explodes, sending small bits of Earth hurling through space, out of our galaxy into interstellar areas. Hopefully, no human spores will be on one of those bits, ready to infect another beautiful planet....we suck. Sad part is, we actually do have the intelligence to NOT suck, but we choose to suck. Why?? Because we suck, that is why.....

 

You fellers have to watch George Carlin's bit on saving the planet. It's on You Tube. I can't seem to post pictures or videos from my work PC. Can one of you guys find it?

You know guys, I will say, I have never seen this before. If you have read what I have posted on this topic, Carlin says EXACTLY what I have been posting. Of course, he does it 1 million times better than I ever could. He must be reading the same authors I have been, etc. Could it be that Carlin was my astral projection?
Anyway, thanks for posting that--I laughed my arse off.....

 

Watching Carlin's political transformation from the 70's up until his death has been ironic, to say the least. He was a funny and brilliant guy.

I disagree with this and all the other end of the planet views on this here threade as well. But i agree about a lot of the other stuff posted here is great, like the total depravity and Man's inability to help himself or the 'science' is settled being total b.s..
Man's wisdom is folly.

All this crap about climate change etc. When I was about 12 years old, a geography teacher points out in class, that the New York Finger Lakes are evidence of glaciers retreating, due to the normal cycles of earths climates.
So I knew about climate change back in 1963. All of a sudden we have morons running around asking, "Do you believe in climate change?". And screaming the planet is doomed because of us. WTF?? Well, politicians trying to get more money out of voters by creating a non-existent crisis.
What will be next?? Another "War of the Worlds"? "We need to upgrade our laser defense system to get them before they cross the stratosphere!!!!". Or the Earth is doomed!!!

Whatever. When is high tide....??
