I was told if you smoke a joint you'll think your a bird and jump out a window of like a 5 story building. If there is no truth to that I say legalize.

    legalize it!

    peruvian cocaine by immortal technique.

speaks the truth, maybe not about marijuana but gets the same point across. our government is waisting so much money trying to prevent the flow of drugs then we the people spend so much money on the buying of these drugs then the government spends money putting us in jail. not worth it.

    "[Immortal Technique Speaking]
The story just told is an example of the path that
drugs take on their way to every neighborhood, in
every state of this country. It's a lot deeper than
the ******* on your block. So when they point the
finger at you, brother men, this is what you've got to tell them:

[Wesley Snipes - from "New Jack City"]
I'm not guilty. YOU'RE the one that's guilty. The
lawmakers, the politicians, the Columbian drug lords,
all you who lobby against making drugs legal. Just
like you did with alcohol during the prohibition.
    You're the one who's guilty. I mean, c'mon, let's kick
the ballistics here: Ain't no Uzi's made in Harlem.
Not one of us in here owns a poppy field. This thing
is bigger than (Immortal Technique). This is big
business. This is the American way."

What are you talking about? What makes you say they are all for driving stoned? Just so you know if you are operating a vehicle while under the influence of any drug you can get a dui and even on a bicycle. We do it all the time at UD.

haha, congratulations. It was amazing when I got to SD when I was about 22. You can litterally walk in, pay $75 and get a license good for 2 years. Then choose from 50 local shops to walk in and LEGALLY purchase. It is unbelievable. The driving under the influence thing is a non-issue. Even if they take a blood sample, there is NO way to prove exactly when an individual smoked marijuana. In court, it doesn't hold up. There is no driving under the influence really, because its impossible to nail down. You can prove that someone had it in their system, but not when... I have never heard of a driving case in california directly related to marijuana. I have heard of people getting arrested for smoking joints in the car and getting pulled over. Caught red handed kind of thing, but anyway, no one crashes their cars from weed. At least not in CA. Its ALWAYS alcohol related. 9 outta 10 times.

ohh and trust me, your local authorities will still use everything in their arsenals to bust your balls about it. Cops generally hate the idea. In MD and other states with medical laws, they usually still lock you up, then you have a chance to prove your medical usage in court. It not like they are gonna setup weed stores in your local shopping malls. local government will go out of their way to still get ya. FYI

I watched a documentary called, "Marijuana INC...", it plays constantly on I think, CNBC, and the end is epic..

The DEA Agent up in the heli searching for fields of marijuana was basically saying they are wasting BILLIONS of dollars on this drug war and he thinks THEY ARE LOSING THE WAR. When you're own guys are saying they are losing and wasting so much money, why do they continue?!

    Government is horrible.

I agree with that. Government is the worst. They never just leave us alone. We should decide what we put in our body not the aholes up on capitol hill, but there we always be people who need govt to hold their hands in all aspects of life. Let's be for individual freedom. We should be free to put anything in our body, but we also are responsible for any problems too.

That all changed about 4 months ago. Obama actually did something right and called off the FEDS. He publicly stated that the FEDS would stop all raiding of California Medical Merijuana Facilities. He said it was a waste of money and that the state has proper grasp on everything. They just opened 2 new ones right in Ocean Beach. Everything is back to normal now.

All the SD medical shops got raided because of money issues. They had crooked books. They were pocketing TONS of money and trying to hide it. That is why only like 4 remained open for about 2 years. But they operated successfully the whole time because they complied with the state documentation standards etc...

The CA state government will never tax it. But the state has successully eliminated ALL marijuana crimes on the street level in CA. ALL of the brick sh** weed that comes over the San Diego border by the 18 wheeler load, is all immediately exported out to states in the mid atlantic, and mid west. Our borders are a war zone because millions of tons of weed comes through our border and state, and it floods the illegal US market. That crap isnt worth squat here, but its like 50 times the value in MD, VA, NC etc.... So as long as these other states keep weed so criminalized, places like Baltimore, and DC and Phli will be war zones with a huge illegal marijuana market.

Im not into legalizing "drugs" in general, but we could stop all this mexican drug trafficing if we would just all do it the way california does it. We grow our own weed because it is the best in the world. Everyone here that has a license and follows the rules, buy legal pot that is the highest quality in the world, completely legally and safely. No guns, no shady street corners. No violence. We make it here, buy it here sell it here and smoke it here. If every other state did that there would be no demand. Supply/Demand. The basics.

If we all had our own marijuana, then we would never need mexican drugs cartels. ya know? Supply and demand. Non violence.

You know how many street levels marijuana shooting/ murders there are in baltimore. Just in that city, its a couple hundred a year. You know how many people in the state of MD have been or are locked up on marijuana charges!!!! Basically everyone who ever smoked a joint on state soil!

    bad decision

I think it should only be to relieve pain in cancer patients and glaucoma cases. It'll be abused like all of the other anti-depression drugs the medical companies try to pimp out. Why can't people just live healthly lives?

Most people aren't smart enough to regulate themselves...I see roads filled with people stoned; how do you test for that? Take blood? Not in a million years will that happen.

How does marijuana get abused tho?!? What is not healthy about it?!? You're relating it to anti-depression drugs...which are PILLS!!!!

Marijuana is not a harmful drug. When we say drug, drug is automatically labeled as something bad or harmful but aspirin and Tylenol are drugs and people seem to think they are okay. But the funny thing is, they are worse than marijuana, go figure.

    How does it get abused??

Are you telling me that marijuana is a good thing and healthy for me? Please back up what you are sayiong when you say aspirin is more harmful than marijuana; i'm very curious about your statement.

Do I really need to get into that? I've run into enough people that were perpertully so high they could barely function; my old roomate in college was one. California's Proposition 215is a bill for prescriping it for depression(worst cases). It's getting distributed way too liberally just like ritalin; even snoop dogg has one for depression. And i'm really not here to debate every pro-pot smoker about the ill affects that pot has. There is enough info out there on the abuse, the effect of unfiltered smoke intentionally held in your lungs etc, etc....Why not just eat healthy and hit the gym?

    WEBMD quote:
"Scientists at the University of Leicester have discovered that marijuana (cannabis) smoke alters DNA, the genetic material located in cells of the human body. Some forms of DNA damage can lead to cancer."

I def agree. You have over the counter meds in your home way more dangerous than pot. People have been using pot for thousands of years, our culture needs to chill. The tax dollars lost is what's a crime! :)

First, I just want to say I do not want to start any argument or petty fight over this subject and like I said in my first post, keep it mature (not saying you strayed from that, but just a heads up leading from this).

Yes, I believe marijuana is a good thing. Is it healthy for you? What is healthy for you? Is it bad for you? No!

I have not researched this, but have heard of people dieing from overdosing on pills such as aspirin, so therefore, yes, it is much more harmful than marijuana. Marijuana is a natural plant from the earth. Aspirin and other such pills are chemicals made up that could/do harm you.

What ill affects does pot have? It still is NOT proven that marijuana causes cancer or have any detrimental "ill" affects. And in regards to unfiltered smoke, that is why they have water pipes with perculators and vaporizers! Vaporizers are on another level when it comes to being 'healthy'.

Why not eat healthy, hit the gym and enjoy marijuana? I mean, people eat healthy, hit the gym and enjoy beer right?

As you can tell, I am pro-marijuana and stand strong that it is the only 'drug' I have done.
