Huh?? The "states" are wealthier? Or the individuals living there are wealthier?? There is a difference. I would agree the states are wealthier--they tax the living shit out of the all their people to give to slackers. The exodus of the wealthy successful entrepreneurs is a reality. But it is not only them- the middle and low class are doing the same, because they have bankrupted those dems states. I mean, look in the mirror--you came here from Massholia, did you not? Hey, I came here from PR.
There are any number of ways to 'rate' the richest & poorest states. Pick a 'statistical narrative' that fits one's narrative, seems to be the playing field for this asspect. In other words, these things are about as accurate as political polls.
I don't know about which state is richer or poorer, but I do know that I am about to get the largest tax refund I've ever gotten and my paychecks have less taken out of them each week than they did before. It probably explains why a lot of folks are moving to FL, and I don't blame them.
Several prominent Democrats are pressing for redistributing wealth to low-income families in a bid to make income inequality a defining term of the 2020 presidential elections. Sen. Cory Booker of New Jersey, who launched his presidential campaign Friday, wants to provide every newborn with a $1,000 interest-bearing savings account. Sen. Kamala Harris of California proposes giving families that make up to $100,000 hefty tax credits to defray their cost of living. Ms. Harris and Mr. Booker both support direct payments to people spending more than 30% of their incomes on rent. “The Democrats have essentially been cranking up class warfare up to 11,” said Brian Riedl, senior fellow at the Manhattan Institute. “They are operating on a fiction that we can finance socialism solely on taxing the rich, and the numbers just do not add up.” WSJ
Well, you see, that card to most minority voters, would make her the BEST candidate ever. You see, it tells them that Warren knows how to work the system they have been taught to work since childhood. Maybe the injuns will be publicly insulted, but I bet privately they vote for her simply because she wants to be one of them, and that is flattering to them. For all of them labeled minorities, it is not about right or wrong--it is about what you can get away with.
Both Yahoo and MSN news on computer sites talk only about Trumps failed speech and Democrat socialists victory at the speech. Pathetic.
It was nice that the only thing that the all white wearing ladies applauded was themselves. Shows what they really care about. Like you can’t applaud a d-day vet, or a man who helped liberate a consentration camp, or historically low unemployment, or a number of other things that any sane person would agree are in our countries best interest? Sad so so sad And then that lady that lost the election in Georgia was talking about all the “pink slips” that where going out. I think she is a little cornfused I think unemployment is at historic lows even as more people are reentering the workforce.
"wealth redistribution" lol "income inequality" lol Socialist dog whistles for stealing someone else's $$$ to implicitly buy votes from poor people who want their "fair" portion of the scraps How ironic that these same politicians whom advocate such an unfair reappropriation never seen to be financially affected by such policies. Seems crooked
I came here from New Zealand, before that Colorado for a stint, before that Florida where I grew up and became a scurfer. NH has one of the lowest tax burdens in the US, despite many years off-and-on of Dem legislative control, so don't git yer panties in a bunch, you're good.
