What do we look like?

My family owned the grocery stores down here in WPB since 1919 - 100 years ago they started with a produce stand on Northwoood Ave. When I was a kid we had three, two in black ghettos and one in white Harlem (Four Points). One o the stores was across from the cop shop, so that was in the worst hood, now its City Place and the Federal Building.

So my uncles and cousins on Sundays, in the morning, they would drive thru the ghetto in the pick em up truck, and round up the carts that were stolen by the local hood rats. Cousin Mikey had a dojo and they used to hope and pray some jerk or three would come out and try to keep the carts from getting returned to the rightful owners ( we had our stores names adhered to the carts). They used to put a few of them in the hospital for sport ( this was before everyone was armed to the teef).

My Dad ( a damn Yankee from Boston who married into the family) tried to get my Grandpa and Great Uncle to put pole barriers near the front of the store so the carts couldn't be stolen, but the boys were having too much fun, so the carts went, and they came back via the ole pick em up truck.

That picture is so heavy. I've looked into those housings and the cost is way out of my league just for the housing let alone the +/-$2,500 camera inside the $1,500 housing. Can't imagine risking losing it or getting clunked in the head with it by dropping in deep behind another surfer on a wave like that.

 

I'm as unlonely as it gets...unless i just don't get it? Really annoying song.
