She's taken a lot of money from progressive organizations -- and George Soros.

Foxx's campaign for State's Attorney fell under scrutiny, even from left-leaning publications within the city, while it was in progress. In addition to the typical Chicago political donors, many of whom are local and regularly contribute to Democratic campaigns, Foxx took cash from two "dark money" super PACs, one of which has ties to leftist mega-donor George Soros.

Illinois Sunshine, which watches political donations to key races, shows more than $300,000 donations from Soros to Kim Foxx's "Illinois Safety & Justice PAC" which Foxx used to finance her defeat of Alvarez in 2016. Soros also contributed $75,000 to Foxx's PAC after the campaign had concluded, seeding her with money for her re-election.

Kim Foxx might also be in trouble for her handling of the Smollett case specifically. Last week, Chicago's primary police union, the Fraternal Order of Police, delivered a letter to the United States Attorney's office in Chicago, alleging that Foxx had tried to compromise their investigation of Jussie Smollett at the behest of a Smollett relative and a woman by the name of Tina Tchen who once served as the Chief of Staff for former First Lady Michelle Obama.

In a series of text messages and emails, Tchen contacted Foxx on behalf of Smollett's family, whom she said had "concerns" about the police investigation.

 

The fix is in.

If I stole a candy bar or a beer from a 7-11 they'd lock me up till I made bail, or maybe shoot me on the way out the door. This fuck needs to do hard time for his douchebaggery.

 

No. He will just recruit someone else to do it for him.....

 

ya know, I agree with all this, but the Dems (or whomever is really responsible for this) really one-upped the opposition with this move.

Not believing the outcome and calling for prison or investigations now plays back completely into their hands, because they can now easily fall back to calling their detractors "racists" who "can't deal with the truth".

The true dividers of our country are "all in" with the race card in what is, essentially, a grab for votes in the lowest common denominator. If Smollett were convicted, that card would have been almost neutralized, and the opposition would have had to scratch and crawl to find another base issue. And let's face it, without racism or environmental issues, there's really not much "there" there.

So, suck it up Buttercups. We all have to swallow this decision like we swallowed the Mueller Report. To fight the Smollett decision will play very strongly into their hands.

Smollett forfeited his $10k bond to the State of Illinois.
He performed 16 hours of community service for.....what, I'm not certain.

So, color me confused. Because forfeiting one's bond means you either fled the authorities whilst under indictment or you admitted guilt. As well, being punished would indicate a conviction.

So does Smollett now have a conviction on his record?
If so how could that have happened without a judge / jury trial?
The prosecutor's office certainly judged him guilty, witness the $10k fine & 16 hours of community service.

So, how does Smollett hold a press conference saying that this action by the prosecutor's office proves his innocence?

BTW, in the more news department this morning Smollett's lawyers are considering suing CPD. For what, I have no idea.

 

Another gambit would be to after the judge and the states attorneys to show middle America how corrupt democrats are.

 

My bet is Smollett is dead before 2020. By his own hand.

 

I've thought about this, and it comes at a great risk...albeit with a greater reward, if won.

If an investigation could prove "collusion" ( lol, there's that word again) to absolve Smollett for political purposes, it would amount to a Republican coup and result in a Trump re-election, if not an outright run on the WH and Congress for at least 6 more years.

However. The more likely scenario is a massive cover-up similar in scale to the Trump/Russia thing. You can bet your pasty white a$$es that they will cover this up like a cat in a litter box, guaranteed.

And if the investigation comes up empty handed, the Dems wind up with the upper hand and the moral high ground, a la OJ playing golf and humping Paula Barbieri.

The "swing states" are a covert way of saying "white centrists". They're not stupid. They know exactly what is happening.

And it wont take a street riot to get these particular people "woke".
