My wife sometimes brings me home a few pairs from either Ross, Marshall's, or TJ Maxx that she got on clearance or on sale for super cheap. I have too many pairs of various brands, almost an entire dresser drawer full. I definitely prefer the stretchy material.
I bought a pair of the stretchy O'Neill bortshorts off Amazon last year for my CR trip last year, cheap. I wound up wearing my 12 year old baggy below-the-knee Quiksilvers almost my whole time in the lineup...The waves always seemed to be better when I wore them, so it was kinda like my sarfing good luck charm. I admit to being tragically unhip when it comes to fashion. I'm sure everyone in Guanacaste wondered what planet i was from when they saw me strutting around in my Quik ultra baggies and a b1tch beater.
And the inseam was just a hair below my balls. I rode that fashion wave until I face-planted in the shorepound lol
Check it out, back from 1985: I'd rock this: https://www.walmart.com/ip/Maui-And-Sons-Hi-Graphic-Tee/132661983
I subscribe to the, "I already stick out like a sore thumb... might as well embrace it" philosophy when traveling. I'm always riding something funky, and wearing a white, short sleeved, crew neck undershirt. I figure, as long as I'm alone, nobody will care... in fact, they just might find me amusing!
I’m also generally a TJ and Marshall’s kind of borteshort guy. I have a pair of vintage birdies I got off eBay for like 20 bucks. They’re kinda dope, but not gonna lie they’re straight up chubbies. I’m not down for paying that retail price. I buy my crap on sale.
Nahhhh that is the 'line-up regulator'. I carry one with me at the yetty. haha jokes... It looks like the Confederate/weed leaf is on the bottom (slickside)
What are these boarshorts you speak of? https://www.fansedge.com/colosseum-arkansas-razorbacks-cardinal-maui-swim-shorts/p-3377469
