This is sad but funny.

 

Went to a game in Orlando and it was ridiculous lol. You could yell to the people sitting on the other side of the field. Maybe 2,000 people in at 45,000 seat stadium. SAD.

 

I was hoping it would do well and would be a good farm system for the NFL and provide some live football in the offseason.

He's a perfect example of a little rich boy who was spoon fed by a silver spoon his whole life and when he hit the real world he couldn't handle it.

 

how/why do millionaires keep developing these NFL-lite leagues? They have to be a tax shelters because on what planet would they ever become successful to the point of turning a profit. Even if you took away every damn operating expense except salaries, I have a hard time believing they were in the green. Ever.

Nah dude you're right about a lot of things. It's hard to compete against long running monopolies.

OTOH, that's exactly what the American League did against baseball back around the turn of the 20th century, and what the AFL did against the NFL back in '61. They succeeded but kinda got melded into the original leagues.

There were some pretty good leagues in between. The USFL was pretty fun to watch, and were drafting some top picks out of the schools. IIRC the NFL was kinda puckered up about the USFL.

After losing the opening game, the Rays have won 5 straight, in first place, and looking strong so far.

 

Dude, the Mariners are 7-1 lol. They'd be 8-0 if our new "closer" hadn't blown a 2-run lead in the top of the ninth.

Jeez don't the Rays have like 6 ex-Mariners? Like Zunino and Sucre and Brad Miller? Man last year we got Dee Gordon, Colome, Span and a few others. Mallex Smith is our starting cf and I think we got some others lol.

 

Fightin Phils are 4-0 for the first time since, get this, 1915.

 

So, I entered a bracket pool and spent no more than 5 minutes on my picks. Result, if UVA wins tonight I win it all if they lose, I take 2nd.

Makes up for years of donating to these things lol!
