That's so you quit pissing on the floor in front of the toilet. Don't feel to bad lots older guys often take the blue pill so not to pee on their shoes. Welcome Back - we're glad you made bail ..................
A good friend of mine picked one up 2 winters ago, and swears by them. The blind stitching, taped seals and inner liner look top notch. Just missing the bitchen logos, and all for a great price. one thing though...if you like "sexy", this suit is probably not for you, just not as handsome as a Rip Curl. Kinda like comparing a Sig Sauer 9mm to a Hi Point 9mm. Gun guys will get the analogy. Not as pretty, but gets the job done. Think I'm gonna pull the trigger on one too
Gonna grab a new O'Neil as well. Was out today in my old Psycho 2 hooded suit today and its seen its last day i think. Doesn't seem to stretch like it used and starting to tear. have always preferred Oneil and look forward to the new tech in these newer suits
Could’ve sworn I posted earlier in this thread but I don’t see it now... I have a needessentials back-zip 4/3 (no hood) and chest-zip 3/2 and love both. Would get my next 5 mil from them too except those don’t come in XXL (at least when I last checked). But the two I have work great, are super flexible and plenty warm. Def used the 4/3 on warmer-air days last winter and was totally comfortable. Considering trying out some of their ski gear too cause Im so pleased with the wetsuits.
I just got a 4/3 billabong Absolute (totally lined with fleece inside) for $75, direct from billabongs website. Why spend more for a generic no name?? Makes no sense, unless you are all buying in on "being cool" and suffering from leftist commie mental illness.....lol.
Capitalism at its best in my eyes. They seem to be solving the problem of I need a wetsuit that works and that's it. If I see a quality name brand front-zip 4/3 for under $185 I would buy it but I don't stumble upon those $75 deals you mentioned very often. I have been spending $300 on a 4/3 which is fine-they last a year or two-but if I can get about the same product for $185 it seems worth a try.
Agreed. I suggest that you visit Billabong site. I was very surprised how steep the discounts were on their "sale suits". It is probably an annual event, I suspect. Anyway, best of luck getting what you wish for.
Any thoughts on a flashbomb 5/4 vs the Patagonia R4? I'm on the third year of a drylock 5/4 and can tell it isn't going to hold up for me once the water drops into the low 40's/high 30's. I've got some flashbomb gloves and love the fleece lining...the new ripcurl heat seeker 6/4 looks toasty, but its also pricey (and not currently on sale). Flashbomb 5/4 and Patagonia are both around $400 right now ($375/$430)
Unless they've changed their technology over the last couple years, the Patagucci suits hold A LOT of water. Rinse one of those things out and see what I mean, they weigh a ton when wet. But they're super warm no doubt. I'd spring for the flash bomb personally
I have an r3 and a flash bomb 5/4, and the RIP curl is waaaaay more flexible. Like piedra said, Patagonia suits are stupid heavy when wet, and aren't very flexible in comparison to other brands. I imagine the r4 is even stiffer than the re. They may have updated their tech in the past few years, but I wont buy another
My Drylock has easily been the warmest and most durable suit I've ever owned. but I like to change it up once in a while. I might be sorry lol
So it looks like my tax return got here at just the right time, developed a good rip at the entry point of my Drylock so I sprung for a new one this weekend. New Drylock X (2018 model) for $307 @ Steep & Cheap ($350 after taxes and delivery). I thought it was a good deal. y'all concur or did I eff up lol
Nvr a fan of the Drylock, they just seem heavy on my svelte small frame. After an hour in the ocean it feels like 25 lbs more. Not criticizing, just found that O'Neill Psycho Freak or whatever their high end gear is called works for me. Plus, O'Neill seems a roomier cut (shoulders) for American Hombres. Butt, that's a nice price for that suite
For a Drylock, that then is a good deal, imho. Steep&Cheap is often great, they are the former WhiskeyMilitia.com Recently I have been buying wetsuits directly from Bilabong WHEN THEY HAVE A SALE. Keep an eye open for that--I recently bought a nice 3/2 Absolute model from them for $75 shipping included.
tax refund?? didn't know the dems still let you get back what was excessively taken from you anymore!
