yeah. he's a good kid even though he doesn't like surfing. This is phase 2. Phase 3 is going to be a winch and Corbeau racing seats. Phase 1 was a sweet Alpine sound system and a Banks stainless catback.
ground clearance if you offroad which we do quite a bit. I really wanted a highline kit that lets you run 35 inch tires with no lift but they are big bucks. My next Jeep will have that.
NICE ! Body lift or Susp lift ? Sometimes susp lifts screw up drive shaft angles causing U-Joint failure always at the wrong time. I love wranglers - the wheel base is real short though and can wear you out on a long trip. I'm lookin for a 4dr (longer wheel base) when I get some money together. Awesome Ride !!!!!!!
Suspension lift. Jeeps are really touchy with lifts and most like will cause drive train vibes so you either need to do a motor mount lift of a transfer case drop. I did the TC drop since I'm getting a tummy tuck and will need a slip yoke eliminator for that. The SYE is the best way to go to align everything so once in place, that will fix everything. The only thing I don't like about the 4dr JKs is the lack of the 4.0 engine.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=LU4-luKALPY Heres my old jeep off roading. off roading killed it so we sold it to the nissan dealership and got an exterra. nice new car. Oh and forgive me for the music. it was a joke more than anything
Jeeps always look nice lifted . You should get a the Long Arm kit when you plan to run 35 inch tired. It give better articulation. I had a 95 Dodge Ram 1500. with 3 inches of body and 8 inches of suspension lift . I got the Super Lift kit with the long trailing arm for the front. That thing flexed nice even on 38x 13.5 Irocks on it
When I get my new jeep I'm getting a 6 inch LA kit. I did get sway bar disconnects for this one and am surprised how much articulation I get. Since this one is going to my son, I wanted to keep cost down and with 35s you have to re-gear. The only downside is that the new tires killed my power steering gearbox so I have to throw a new one (from a Durango) in it tonight.
