Still you ignore the point that if the economy is so good why aren't we paying off debt like we did in the 90's.

 

I don't know this for sure, but I bet there is a delayed reaction on that. Give it time. There's more to do still and another election coming. I believe the best is yet to come, in the 2nd term. Gotta get past this shit show first. Hopefully that will happen, but there seems to be no end in sight. I just hope after he's re-elected and realize that it all backfired on them that they get back legislating.

 

No. It is NOT safer today. Human behavior has escalated to the bad side somewhat.

I disagree. I don’t think there are more bad people now than in the past.

 

I didnt say anything about fear. If anything I live without fear, thats why I dont shy away from the truth.

"Bad people" are not required for crime statistics. Straw man, really.
I just checked to see if I could make a 30 spread comparison with FBI statistics, but was unable, due to metrics having changed. Now, violent crime rate is reported as incidents per 100K population. Thirty years ago, general percentages were given within Uniformed Crime Statistics Report. Apples and oranges, so, we will never really know. I am not wishing to make conversions by State to come up with numbers for us.

 

Didn't have multiple 24 hour news channels back in the day to make you aware how bad it is out there. There were just as many if not more bad people in the world back then, ya just didn't know it imo.

No, but neither was the Patriots victory over the Falcons in Superbowl 51. They were down 21-3 at the half, 28-9 after 3 quarters, but they put up 19 points in the 4th to ATL's zero to put the game into OT and won 34-28 in one of the greatest comebacks in Superbowl History. The game isn't over till it's over.

Paying off debt? Please show me a chart. I believe we decreased the rate of spending under HW and slick Willy but total debt increased...I think.
