I'm so tired of the gray forecast graph about ready to color it in on my laptop!

The supposed new owners of SI are located out of the U.S.A., I have reached out to their V.P. of "Web Community" but no response yet.

Outdoor Hub LLC and Carbon Media had hundreds of domains and web sites, some died along the way after they were purchased from private entity web site developers. I noticed some sites had many issues servicing the sites after they were acquired by Carbon Media, done of the sites had of any type forecasting though. Majority of the sites were outdoor related; hunting, fishing and farming. Swell Info was the only Web site they owned that didn't fit the niche? I'm starting to wonder since SI was part of the package deal if the new owners are even going to keep the site much less fix it?
The reason I say this some of the acquired web site Domains have been transferred to the new owner but SI has not? Those swellies in the IT world know if you don't have ownership of the Domain you have spent $$$ for nothing.

Its a feeding frenzy out there with all these host companies buying & selling each other and hundreds of Domain's/web site for advertising & marketing income.

 

Me too...using Magic Seaweed just fine for now...but I sure wish they would fix it...I like having multiple sites to look at and compare.

The techie volunteered info which I had already discovered so he validated that assessment.

So far this is a snap shot how Carbon Media managed their web sites, they hired a web site manager, that person was/is independent contractor. That web manager manages the sites, software and site mods. So dotted lines are just the site mods to web site manager and web manager to Carbon Media. So previous owner not involved in web site operations just selling the advertising & collecting Ad income.

The irony of it all when you sign in and see that Pop Up Ad "Carbon TV" that's the new business venture of Carbon Media. As I dig more & more it changes daily, some how Carbon Media still has a "stake" in SI due to domain/server data, maybe not spun off with merger?

I heard that Clownface trolled carbon media so much so they ended up selling... Supposedly the guy was contacting the owners and manipulating a lot of shit... I always hated clownface but the guy is effective... he even caused a beef between Micah and Carbon Media....

 

Anyway you look at it is that Micah is a sellout and it cost him Millions of dollars.... Swellinfo was on the track to being the biggest site in the Surfing world, only if Micah would of gave a damn instead of running from something that wasn't chasing him...

Now Micah has to sit back and watch something he abandoned go to garbage, for pennys on the dollar, and loosing all the respect (of the surfing world( arguably the only world that matters). Trading it all in for zero respect and zero cred or props, then dragged through the mud of what would of been his greatest work... ( and Micah signed something banning him from ever creating a surfing forecast site ever again) Micah castrated himself for pennys on the dollar... the term sellout is in proper order....

May we all forgive Micah because thats what jesus ordered us to do...

Any hoot someone should write to magicseaweed and get them to make a forum, maybe ClownFace will write to the them...
