I forgot to mention on the cams there is a 30 second commercial / advertisement that you watch for every 30 seconds of camera time. It doesn’t bother me because that’s all I need. I don’t sit and watch cams for long periods of time like I use to. I just use it to get an idea before I run down to the beach.
Here are a lot of the Surfline cams free on their sister site Fishtrack. The cams also don't time out quickly like the Surfline versions. http://www.fishtrack.com/fishing-cam/cape-hatteras-lighthouse_108207
Okay I'm going to crawl out of the woodworks for a second.. If you'd like to play around with some of the raw GFS data that many of these forecast sites, as well as windy get their info from, try the site "tropical tidbits" Some of you may already know what it is. I used it to track Florence more than a week before it actually hit. But From here you can also track low pressure systems, winds, and pretty much any other meteorological variable from around the world, and it is what I use to get an idea of swell beyond 2 or 3 days (while also cross checking forecast sites such as this and MSW). Like any forecast, accuracy of the models depreciates considerably after 4 or 5 days, but it may satisfy some of your long term forecasting needs if you understand what you're looking at. Here's the link, https://www.tropicaltidbits.com/ana...n=atl&pkg=mslp_pcpn&runtime=2019070218&fh=384
Furthermore, the guy who runs the sites gives comprehensive updates of tropical systems here in the U.S. so its a valuable tool for sifting through the "hype" the weather channel creates during hurricane season.
Tropicaltidbits.com has been part of my Surf Forecasting Website folder for a while/way back. Good call.
Stick around until next week; I'll give ya more to "click" on, so we go out with a SPLASH ..............
Austin was the "Master" Mod on here and other Carbon Media sites with forums; the story is he's no longer with Carbon Media latter of 2016 while later banning on those other sites was by Austin? The spider web of ownership, management, Mods and IT programming would need the help of CIA/NSA to decipher.
Oh man, I wonder if Fungus got his ass kicked in this episode??? I’m just kidding...but seriously those “guys” can’t shoot pool!
I think asking the Carbon IT guy to fix the problem only flat-lined the fuck out of the dying patient. Man, it's only the fucast but it feels like they're pulling the whole damn plug. not sure I can hold out much longer
