It has been 11+ years for me and is still going and still exists as evidenced by the fact that i am posting this statement. It ain't over and i ain't dead, yet, either. But i was a lot healthier shortboarder surfing 150 days a year back in april 2008. Who would have guessed it would have come to this? I rode a one foot swell for an hour on a 10' 50-50 the other day. I csn't paddle, sit up or lie prone but i did stand up on a surfboard on a wave a handful of great rides so i guess i still surf. First time in 3 months.
Hey Beach break, I met a guy in ft pierce who had a few physical issues so he wasn't ably to pop up. This guy rode many waves and I asked him about his condition. The biggest memory of that conversation was him saying that the wave was always overhead high. The guy was just full of stoke.
