Hope this finds you well. I'm a big fan. I believe I've been a pretty good dude this year. As you know Surfing is a big reason why. I've been pretty good with not ditching obligations to surf too. Which keeps me not in my best surfing shape. With that in mind I was hoping you could send a new board my way this Christmas. My everyday good wave board has been great but it is getting long in the tooth. I'm a year older and lets just say a bit more jolly. On those big winter days with the winter gear, thanks for that last year, I could use a boost. I know you got me a bonzer and it is awesome but it's speed after a steep drop is a little insane sometimes. Was thinking I would really like this one. I think the 6'1" stock dims would do nicely. Have a very Merry Christmas, PJ Post script A decent five fin set of futures would also be nice.
One time I asked Mom for Adidas and she got me Zips. Was hoping others would share their wishlists and also tell me what they think about the Retro Ripper. Seems like the right board for me but haven't put one under my arm yet.
Dear Santa, My request this year is real simple. Three first class airline tickets from Philadelphia to Hawaii (Oahu or Maui your choice). One for me and one for each of my boys. If you're feeling really generous since me and my two sons were well behaved this year you can throw in a house rental on the North Shore and a rental car. Thanks.
got my jerky maker yesterday, things are gonna get weird for a while. I need more beach towels (as always), more tools, more legit camping gear, a wireless speaker. I try not to spend around this time of year, wait to see what i get which is really, really hard to do
Santa came through with the retro ripper and a sweet five fin set. He said the fins were crazy expensive. 1st time with the new fcs system. Going to need some grub screws in my stocking. Just to ease my own anxiety. Can't wait to try it out. Hope it dont turn out like when Ralphie gets his BB gun.
I've been using the FCS2 system for a couple of years now. I've seriously tweaked one box, but the fin stayed in place and I repaired everything. Completely broke another box, and the fin as well...leaving only the fin tabs in the broken box. Had to pull the box and replace it with a new one, new fin came with it. Damages caused by operator error. You really don't need the grub screws, it's a very hearty system and I can guarantee that you'll never lose a fin, unless the box comes out with it. Rest easy.
I hope we score. At this stage of the game its not really about me getting waves. My 14 year old is chomping at the bit to give Hawaii a go. Wasn't in Santa's budget this year. He will have to wait until next year.
