    Wanted to post this just to get some perspective.
    1 thing I miss is all the different types of characters that filled the forum with ideas and wisdom, also all the stories that were shared.
    1 thing I don't miss is the political rants.

    Id like to hear your thoughts you don't mind.

    Hopefully we get some people back and some good new faces since it seems SI will be staying around.

    I dont miss the politics either. What happened to the days when people would vote and then just stfu about it? There's a reason you cast behind a curtain.

    Anyway, hope to see some life come back to the forum.

    I agree it would be nice to see some of the cast return, nothing wrong with more than one forum participation.

    Pros... yea, no political rants is a good thing. Political debate is ALWAYS a good thing in our democracy. But ranting without curiosity... without challenging your own beliefs... without respect to others' opinions... is just ranting. It doesn't convince anyone of anything, except the ranter is an intolerant ignoramus.

    Cons... without the rants, it's just not as compelling as it used to be.

    OK... I'm a hypocrite. LOL

    Absolutely you should start a hello tread. Do a little research and you'll find the important questions that we need answers to. Of course eating her acceptance is one of the most desirable things you can accomplish in life

    I don't know scobes, I remember getting banned and then I made a fake account and got found out...actually someone snitched. I wasn't allowed to post for a while. So I speak to the fact that if simod knows who he is and doesn't just delete the said account it speaks volumes . I don't know much about nothing so its just my thoughts. I understand that some people choose the mistake forum over swellinfo where they can speak in any manner to anyone at anytime and thats cool too, sometimes i feel the same way but I don't fit into that style. I choose this platform because of many reasons and one reason is you have some civil discourse or guidelines to follow. theres good stoke here and I like most of you who post here. wow thats a lot about nothing really and just my thoughts. I appreciate your point of view though.

    What simod5 seems to forget, is that his arbitrary and capricious behavior was equal to that of Austin, and drove membership to much less than half of what it was 2-4 years ago.

    the political threads were only a catalyst
