got on it this morning. Not a lotta ppl out there at the Washout considering the forecast(s). Waist to chest, mix of mush and high peaks. Lil south drift and whole lotta energy in the water. Grabbed a handful on the fish; rain on the way out. Worth my time fo sho. Leftovers tomorrow - prolly on the LB
Was chest high and perfect glass this morning at first light. Too bad I was on my way to work. This afternoon when I get out it will be onshore junk... of course.
I checked the Manesquan Inlet camera this morning right before leaving for work and it looked so fun.....and only one guy out.
Went out south of the city today, (relatively) warm air and low wind made it pretty ok. Waves were tons of funs with some lulls. It was high tide so the refraction off the seawall really made some faces pop up.
Tide a little high early, but damn... it got super fun late morning. Just firing. Not big, but super fun.
Caught the dwindling NW swell at Stacks before the new NW starts to show this afternoon. Offshore, waist to shoulder with long period, walled up, head plus set every now and again. Tide was starting to get deep when I got out. Super fun. Water temp is still about 60, air temp about 55. 4/3, no hood, no booties, no complaints.
Credit to MR Torcia , I Bs with him about composition , the clouds , sky , the wave . After a while tube shots starting looking the same . Of course if its u in the pic , the compisotion means jack !
Mix of swells in the water today making for lots of waves. Big ones, small ones, waves on top of waves. Can't they spread the flock out a little bit?? Light offshore winds on a rising tide. Got a half dozen decent ones in the chest high range at Stacks before bailing for work. Worth the paddle for sure.
Mix of W to NW swells from 4 to 12 seconds creating some nice peaks and some longer walls to work with. Waist to chest+ with firm offshores. Even got a little cover up that I made it out of. Super fun day today. Suns out, waves are good, life is grand.
Hoping for another shot of swell on Sunday. Will have to scope out a good spot away from the crowds again.
