Anybody had any luck in Oak Island? I've never seen it break on the outside so can't if there are decent bars.

It'll be breaking on this upcoming clean-up swell, but how good? Nobody knows. That's part of the fun. Do you drive down tomorrow during the deluge to try and snag a few? or stay at home and play it safe? I won't know that answer til tomorrow.

Is that the same Oak Island the Ark of the Covenant is buried? If so, that a very small window for any kind of swell to get thru. But if Buckroe Beach in Hampton Va can get chest high tubes, anything is possible.

With a nice hurricane about 200 miles due south and a N wind Oak Island will produce incredibly long, fun lines. Other than that weak and gutless for the most part.

Thanks! I'm loading up the bus with a crew, some snacks and supplies, and will be there before you can say Jim Cantori.

Great cam that I didn't know existed!

I have caught HB absolutely firing on tropical swells. I'll never forget coming over the crest of the bridge and seeing chocolate colored corduroy all the way to the horizon. I can still see it in my mind.
