To whom might surfing be a concern:

    Learn to Surf 101

First create a base with an Online surf Guru

    1: Get a Board
2: Establish Beef with a Local Pro
    3: Go Surfing
4: Don't let anyone know you are having fun
5: Let everyone know how enlightened you are
6: Post Bench Max on online surf forum

I've been compiling this list to help new surfers join us professional surfers in the line up. Does anyone have any steps to add? Allowing new surfers to transition from beginner to super professional as quickly as possible is the most rad thing to do.

    Best Regards:
and keep it frosty salt as long as you can

    Learning to surf 2020
    • buy softtop
    • take lessons and get the addiction
    • join Facebook group dedicated to driving around everywhere chasing waves
    • Only people who live at least 2 hours from a beach are allowed
    • paddle out in huge packs every weekend
    • mount a go-pro in every car, on every board and on every head so not a second of the learning experience isnt documented and shared endlessly
    • Make youtube clips of absolutely everything!

    1) Buy a Herlihy boogieboard
    2) Make the 2-3 hour trip from Annapolis
    3) Make stink-eye when Colin does PWC step-off's into hucking bombs
    4) B!tch repeatedly about #3 on the World's Worst Surf Forecasting Website.
    5) Go on WSL Tour

And remember... the hallmark of good style (the ultimate goal in surfing) is to...

    make something easy look hard.

Feeling comfortable blowing snot-rockets as you exit the surf, will reveal your true identity and level of surfing abilities.

This is really helpful. I love the way you have added the point too of establishing a beef with a local pro. Can't we be friends with them and grow together ?

The only thing i'm growing with my local pros is my existential rage towards them. IDK, It's just part of surfing.
