If you're doing pool swimming, you'll probably want a swim-specific suit and not a surfing wetsuit. Check out: https://www.wetsuitwearhouse.com All the wetsuits have a sizing chart, because as someone here previously mentioned, not all suits fit the same. Check out what most closely resembles your size. They've got a great return policy if it doesn't work. Good luck
I'm a big fan of this local SF wetsuit maker Feral: https://feralsurfing.com/collections/wetsuits/products/hooded-543mm I have the 4/3 Feral. The Japanese rubber is almost waterproof and dries super fast.
I've had a couple of Matuse wetsuits with high quality Japanese rubber. I did notice that they were more waterproof than some other wetsuits I've had and for that reason dry a bit faster. When I peel them off after a sesh, they dont seem as heavy and waterlogged. Honestly though, as far as warmth and flexibility goes, I have had just as good luck with a top level Xcel or Rip Curl at a lower cost.
Again, it bears repeating that the math doesn't quite add up. 5'11'' and 175 w/ a 40 waist has to be the most unusual shape I've ever heard, unless maybe you're a really ugly chick. It hadda be said
The last couple I have bought are Vissla 7 Seas (inventory is VERY low right now) and for an inexpensive suit, I've been very impressed with the warmth and how well the hold up.
I have a solution ... Now hear me out . Dont travel north.. Big fat efs loom like seals and the men in grey suites are gonna eat your fat arse like you were a seal. Stop surfing and move to the mountains but not where there's skiing because that would be a whole new set of questions about warm clothing . Thanks and nothing personal. I been hitting the bong tonight and can't be held responsible foe my actions
Sounds like you’ve been reading a Thomas Pynchon novel. Decided to check out the bumpy backroads of mendocino and humboldt. Bound to run into all sorts of interesting types. They probably have bongs too. Plan on camping at Usal beach campground.
