I had an amazing surf session at Capitola, Santa Cruz Tuesday night! Very Waikiki feeling 4-6’ waves breaking consistently left and right and peeling for 100s of yards. Some of the sets were head high +, but still super mellow. it was an amazing combination. I took the longboard out and had a blast. Sort of crowded but very friendly group compared to the Point or the Hook. My first Capitola session, I’m hooked and hope to go back again when waves are big.
Good posts. Thanks for the stories everyone. I got out thia morning for a few hours of fun chest high rights and lefts beach break with good push. Had some fun long lefts where I could just glide and carve on my longboard. Water is 65 air today 76. I wear a spring suite today and then off to work.
Glad you are all scoring. Good swell in New England here this week but blown out. Chomping to get out there
Nice mellow session at Patrick space force station this eve. Long mellow lines. Rode my biggest board( Walden mega magic 9'6)
Went to cocoa beach pier on the low incoming tide and found some waists high peepers breaking into the pier. Wasn't able to shoot it but it was fun chasing the wave into it while the patrons of the restaurant looked on. Water 65 air 62. I need to move south !lol
Minimal surf this weekend but I was glad to get out and work the surf muscle for a bit. Hard offshores have dropped the water temp to 52 over the last few days. I could not have been more comfortable in my brand new 4/3. I'm about 10 sessions in with the new suit and so far it was 100% worth it. Now the true test begins, will it outlast my old Matuse? Ask me in 5 years.
