Take comfort in not having bills to pay while you're broke. Did you apply to all the big retailers (e.g. Target, Walmart, Kmart)?
January is a slow month for most business, especially retail. A lot of people are scared to look at their credit card bills from the holidays. On that note if your in high school, try looking for jobs as an office assistant, or i worked at a food store in high school. Not a very glorious job, but i worked nights with my friends and it was fun. And most importantly i could surf during the day. pay wasnt bad either.
get a job as a bus boy. Perfect gig for a surfing kid. good money for youngsters too. a lot more than minimum wage
I second that and you get tips everyday too . if your 18 or older you an get a job changing oil at walmart
