We have a little pulse in the water but quite unfavorable winds. Wifey picked up a 7'6 handshaped epoxy egg that I have been itching to try. Might paddle out after work just for the f*** of it.

Lingering swell still hanging in there this morning... small and clean, but looks fun.

If only I was retired... instead, I'm just tired.

Finally had some favorable winds and a little swell in the water this morning. Paddled out on my 9'6 and had a nice little session before work. Water hit 65 this morning so a 2mil short sleeve full suit was plenty to stay warm. Always feels good to hang up the 4/3 and know I won't touch it for 7-8 months.

Been a pretty decent run of WNW windswell and the first south of the season. Pretty consistently in the chest high range most of the last couple of weeks. Had some really good sessions. My water time has been cut a bit. Got promoted at work and these new people I'm working with love early meetings. :/

Semi chop here, bout waist to stomach. Kinda came out of nowhere tho there was some wind blowing thru last night. Looked soft, so took the LB to Washout. Lotta ppl (not too many luckily) had shorter boarts which is what i was thinking with the waves being so shifty. But there was more punch than i anticipated and had some really long lined waves on the LB. Just kinda of all around surprise session - i'll take it

Yesterday was a solid chest hi morning. Unfortunately it was after an all day kill liver fest that i started off strong with a frozen Irish coffee. Felt like a fishing bouy out there, think i was burping for the first two hours. A lil mushy, never felt like i needed the shorty, felt pretty good on the 6'9 loehr fish. Small drift up north, crowded - sure. Still had some fun rides I could barely hang on, not one too memorable unfortunately. Also came close to the rocks several times, almost deserved if I did go thru on my plan to clear the lineup by barfing up everything i had the day before. Hoped for the hi king tide to carry on what was left this morning, but should've figured the leftovers were that evening - prior buddy's bday plans killed off that chance. Still hunting for a small surf trip out for next month or so

Took all last week off work, so of course for the first time in years we get skunked for an entire week in April. Got my garden planted, driveway power washed, rebuilt a boat seat and ate a ton of fungi so it wasn't a total loss.

Finally had some swell arrive Saturday night. Took the boat to a secluded spot and picked up my friend and board shaper along the way. The waves were kind of wonky and soft even at low tide. I was on the wrong board (5'8 Lost RNF Redux) but I still got a couple decent rides. After 3 hours of surf we took the boat and did some exploring in the salt marshes. Only had to get out and push us off sandbars 3 times :D.

Got home and decided to grab a couple beers at the local pub. A couple turned into three, which turned into several more, and ended up with the wife and I passing out before we even ate dinner. Great little end to my staycation.

    Hey everyone.
Went out today in a heavy wind swell onshore. Occasionally it would line up about chest high and send you on one of those unpredictable rides that make it exciting( for me anyway).
You know its a scrap decision when youre the only one in the water but it was worth about 8 to 10 waves in an hour .
Went home and soft boiled some eggs with 2 pieces of toast and some onion rings. Bad decisions all day long that made it a great day!

Given the crowds observed this past weekend I'm guessing this summer is going to be a complete shitshow. Figure in two more weeks all of the college kids will be out and heading to the beach on top of everyone else. Dark days ahead.

So yesterday I was pleasantly surprised when the winds dropped off and we're very light on shore. Still a disorganized mess but not as choppy as yesterday as the day before. Took the completely wrong board and paid for it on a couple of bottom turns but you have to dance with the girl that brought you. The weather is beautiful down here in Central Florida warm sunny and the water is probably in the mid-70s. Forgot to take anything out for dinner for later so I stopped off at the local grocery store got some food from the deli

Glad some of you guys have been scoring. I don't feel much like a surfer anymore. I'm turning into a bitter old fuck. Even when I actually get a chance, it's flat.
