Thanks for turning me on to these guys sisurfdogg, they are awesome. Watched a bunch of there vids. Fun, snotty, some of the better punk I've heard in a while. Showed a buddy a few vids, he commented on how none of them are inked up. In a world where everyone, my mailman, all the local chefs, nurses, cops, teachers, you name it, are covered in ink...maybe it's more punk rock not to have tats.
Way back in the day when I was a young lad, I was told by my Dad to not get any "permanently identifying features" (for obvious reasons). Enuff said.
All aboot "Livin' Large". Word!!! Glad there a still a few of us still alive to tell the tales on this here forum. The Good, The Bad, and The Ugly!
Couple more legends gone. Heard a story, not sure if it's true, Charlie Watts partied too hard and slept in when he was supposed to be at the recording studio. Jagger sent someone to get him, yelling "where's my drummer!!". Watts heard this, showed up, punched Mick Jagger, and said "I'm not your fucking drummer, your my fucking singer!"
Been listening to Ozzy's Boneyard on satellite in the car lately. They play Lotta sabbath, AC/DC, Motor head, Dio, Rainbow with Dio, Priest and such. All the great old metal. No hair bands. Found my self screaming this one out with windows down. Speeding down an empty dark highway.
This was playing in the barbershop and its really something. Frank, Bassie, arranged by Quincy Jones. The whole thing is good with everyone talking about how it came about. Frank speaks pretty frankly about it. A real cool cat.
Shameless plug, cousin is opening for these guys at Brick By Brick in San Diego on the 15th, moshpit guaranteed.
The one and only, I actually see them at least once every 10 years, they still tour and play tiny clubs.
