Did a 7 mile family hike on the north shore of my island. Drank a couple of mtk driftwood ales when I got back then sushi with a Argentinian pinot nior. Finishing up now with a bonfire and man to man with my boy. 5th grade got weird.

But Argentine wine is usually Malbec. The pinot ain't bad.

 

Everyone went to bed. The fire is still roaring. I'm drinking brandy. 2 ft @ 15 tomorrow. Not sure what tomorrow may bring except the fog in my head. All dogs howl at the moon sometimes.

My special lady friend and I went out Friday sans kids and spent some time at a bar on the water eating raw bar stuff and drinking mojitos. Had no clue there would be a decent swell the next day.

 

Been drinking a cocktail called a Gin Crown lately... give it a try if you're into fancy drinks. I was a bartender for many, many years, so... I do love a good cocktail:

Equal parts gin and genever
grapefruit juice
equal parts lemon juice and simple syrup
dash of walnut liquor
top with ginger beer

 

IPA always a great call
