Aloha Surfers, On behalf of Pichilemu city, I would like to welcome participants, group leaders, support staff, and public in general to the Panamerican Games to be held in Pichilemu, Chile, South America this upcoming October 2023. Pichilemu is a coastal city three hours from Santiago in the Southern Province "Libertador Bernardo Ohiggins. Many claim that Pichilemu has the highest waves, reaching 10 meters high. Punta de Lobos is where the competition will take place. The surfing site is not only but 15 minutes away from downtown Pichilemu. Taxi fares should not exceed the amount of 10 dollars. Pichilemu is a fishing town well-known for its delicious oysters, octopuss, and a wide variety of fish and shellfish. The wine route is about 30 minutes from downtown. There are companies that offer daily tours to the best wineries so that you can go wine tasting until you drop dead. Although, the local language is Spanish, many tour operators offer these services in English. One last and very important aspect of the event is lodging. Pichilemu is not a big place so make sure you make reservations in advance.
