Hey I'm new here ! I live in Bali and I'm relocating to Mexico. What would be the best surf destination as an expat not as a tourist ie I'm not on a surf road trip but I'm a digital nomad, I want to live in the same area year round to work online while still being able to surf as much as possible. In order of importance : 1) Year round consistency of surfable waves for intermediate/advanced 2) Lot's of options ie high concentration of surfable waves within short driving distances (think Bali) A lot less important : 3) less crowed waves are much better of course 4) warmer water is better as well but whatever I won't base my decision on just this. 5) Safety ? When I look at the Mexico safety map most of the west coast is in the red (do not travel) or orange (reconsider travel) But from having travelled a lot I'm aware these safety warning things tend to be blown out of proportion
