I would stay in Ocean City . Its a bit cheaper on the pocket and is only 20 mins from AC .Plus the waves in Oc are about the same if not better in my opinion

There are some good spots in AC but I feel its a hassle . Finding a safe place to park , Finding a nice place to stay , ect. I just think staying in OC or Margate is a better alternative

What about Brigantine? Its closer than OC and isn't a dry town. ;)

Brig has one good spot and that's the inlet. Unless you have a 4x4 and a 200$ pass you'll have to walk about a 1/2 mile to get to the beach through the dunes. The break is really good when it breaks but its fickle, because it faces even more south than AC.

I hear that there are some bums under the piers waiting for you!
But really, local winds make a HUGE difference if you know where to go.
    Send me a message

    Parking in AC
My roomates car has gotten his window smashed twice in the past month, stay away from north end, such a **** hole and its all scumbags that are in that area. I would say park in a casino and walk through (especially if you dont live in the area)

While surfing there be careful. Many old pier pillings in the water, some you dont see until its sticking through your thigh...

    Ac's pretty sketch.

    Surfing in Brigantine:
Horrible. I caught hurricane bill there, every other time its super fickle.

The couple times that I surfed ac was in front of the new casino Pinnacle they are building. The water seemed completely safe. The one question I have is the inlet right there. About a month or so ago I was staying at the marina and when I was in the room looking out at the inlet there was good size sets rolling in through the inlet along the north end side, almost like a point beach break. Do people surf there?

    The Pinnacle is non-existent.

the "New" casino under construction is the Revel. The Pinnacle is not happening.

Ive seen the inlet on the brig side break. There is a video of sven surfing it in a red thong..

    Motion 732,
What year in stoco are you?

o ok well yea I wasnt to sure what it was called but thats what I meant the Revel. So im guessing it needs a big swell to break inside the inlet on the northern side. But the day I saw it, it was clean and long lines.

Since I am getting Married back in MD in August, I want me and the boys to do the bachelor party up in AC. Its only 2 hours from where I will be down in baltimore. So, my question is this: For about 6 guys, 4 of which don't surf, where should we stay. I definately will surf each morning, even if its only loggable. But we will be gambling, drinking and doing the whole AC things. I want to be in a hotel/casino right where there will be surf out front (If god sends us some swell)....

Where should I look at. And plus, i always end up cracking boards when I bring them back east. Do any surf shops in AC rent out legit short boards? Everytime I go to OC MD these fu**s try and give me a foam top. Malibus has been lending me team rider boards the past couple years, but I dont know anyone in AC or Jersey for that matter, so who should I talk to about getting a decent stick for a day or two?
