Pretty sure I saw you around 15th - 12th? I was the only BB'er (only person for that matter) until I saw 2 guys go out at different times. I had to come in to go to work so you mighta seen me walking up the beach-I got a red board. Only other people I saw in the water today.

It was a lot of fun with plenty of waves coming through, you just had to be choosy. But definitely barrels and launch sections all around. Did someone say it wasn't worth it today? Any day with waves of that size is worth it to me. I did get thwomped once by a set wave - while straining to get back out I ditched the board and dove as deep as possible (4ft) grabbed the sandbar but it detonated right on top of me and sucked me back up and over the falls in a giant circular motion and it dragged my ass across the sand bottom. Little reminder who is in charge :)

Wasn't me then I was full-hooded. Like I said I was getting out as one guy was getting in, then there was one more person (possibly you) who ran up to the rocks on 15th to get out. That inside was NOT too fun that's for sure.

Never said it wasn't worth it, said it wasn't worth it yet. The times and dates on the posts are incorrect, that post was made around low tide before it cleaned up and it was a sloppy drifty mess. I looked again in the afternoon and it still looked like garbage to me, I thought knowone was in the water because of the conditions, glad you got something out of it though.

Betwwen 4 and 5 it finally started looking better but by that point I was spent after a day locked in the house with a bored 10 year old .

Oh gotcha ... misread. Yea basically anything over waist high I will go on as long as it's not all the brunt of the storm.. no one goes out then. When those winds switch and the storm passes and the sky clears then it's time to go. I like to challenge myself in all types of conditions.

I checked 48th this morning around 11am and no one was around. I thought that was the spot? I got some good pictures from there I might post one.

I would like to see those pictures! When I looked after 12 I thought to myself, if someone was here I would go out :D. But knowone was to be seen and I didn't want to drift 10 blocks so I watched it until I was convinced it was crap, then went home. 20 years ago I would have jumped in without even looking now it too easy to talk myself out of it without someone pushing.

Ahh well same thing.. If someone was out at 48th I woulda went out there but thats not my normal spot. Hang with me I will definitely push you. I only have a few surfer buddies and I egg the **** out of them to go on the next wave, closeout or not haha. But you're a family man and you have a lot more responsibility than I do.. I respect that. I only had to be at work by 2 and I barely made that.

Anyway, the reason I live at the beach is so I can surf whenever it gets good. That is my main priority.

surfed for 2 hours 45 minutes in Monmouth County. Got one of the best barrels of the winter so far for me. Long wait between sets but worth it before it got too high. Surfed from 12 to 2:45.
