Has anyone seen this? This guy had posted these photos up just before everyone was talking about shark encounters. http://www.surfline.com/surf-news/p...er-by-utilizing-courage-and-calmness_40419/1/
very informative learned alot... 'sharks can only be found in two places... the northern and southern hemispheres.' but seriously those pics are scary as hell im always thinking about sharks and probably wont be able to get that out of my head for a while.. I stay away from fishing peers.
Didn't someone on the MB say that he bought the shark in the morning, already dead and then floated it around taking pics of it? Se some of the comments on Surfline.
Chuck, someone on 805 was saying the dude goes into his work every weekend and buys things to take pictures of and lets them go after... and said he bought this shark dead.
Wow.... See, this is what I was talking about a few weeks ago when I made the Mako chark post. I was up drunk watching sportcenter at like 3am one night, and it went into a fishing show. And they showed the OB pier, the pier I surf all spring/summer at the end of my street. So I get all interested, and it turns out it is a freaking Mako chark fishing show. They pull a few miles off shore and chummed and like 30 different makos came up. And they were AGGRESSIVE. They were biting the camera. They bit evrything that these guys put ni the water. They ranged in weights frmo 100-250lbs.... Mean as hell and fast... Long story short, I did NOT know that makos were ALL OVER the place in SD all summer. Ive heard of the whiteboys in the winter, and the white sharks in the spring, but I have no clue that I was surfing with freaking MAKOS UNDER ME ALL SUMMER!!!! They flock to SoCal in warm summer months.... Scary.
The shark wasn't alive when he shot those pictures. He purchased the dead shark from some fisherman. Surfline has an article apologizing for the original story. The writer who wrote the original article about Dale is pretty pissed off. Surfline Article
