this year is actually a LOT more active than previous few years, but not as active as the GC was when I was growing up down in Naples.
I was able to surf decent waves on a weekly basis, starting around mid oct/early nov and usually lasting well into spring with usually one good final front to mark the end of the season (around april/may).
summer would produce at least 1 swell a month, but I would travel east and almost guaranteed to catch waves every wknd.

Dude, I don't know what happened, but Naples blows now. I moved to Naples from Sarasota earlier this year, and the surf has been sub-par to say the least. My buddies will call me and tell me its pretty good and I head out and there are 20 or so tweeners fighting for knee high mushburgers. In the 5 months I have lived here, I think I have seen two days where it was actually sort of decent. Im happy anytime I get in the water, but when I get home and see pics on gulfster, I feel cheated.

I usually go to the peir, but I have tried to look around for somewhere better. any suggestions?

i think dositmar was gonna be without compute.(or it was swell getting the forum going with a NPC. non player character) as far as no vibe go's i think he got ate by a shark dude. lol

yea, sorry, I took a long hiatus
anyways, there really isnt too much to be said for surfing in Naples.
I was born there and started surfing there, and i can probably count on both my hands how many times in those 20+ yrs of living there it got epic. (or I should say epic by Naples standards...)
heading North to Englewood is your best bet, depending where you are in naples, it can take about an hour.

surf one of the days for sure...big descrepancy between venice and st pete which usually leaves coqinameia hittin....so im sure there will be waves out on AMI....and def cant say nothin about water temps.....hmmmmm nice.
