your best bet is to use a drill with a drill bit and drill several holes in the pieces and use a knife to scrape out the pieces...it's a pain in the ass but that should solve your problem...

Take a tiny trim screw and carefully drill it in and use that to pull it out.

that's another good idea...just make sure it's a TINY screw otherwise it's gonna blow out the sides and ruin your finbox

Yeah drill slowly and use a 1/8 inch of smaller drill bit

also, put a drop of oil around the edge before pulling on it, just for good measure...

and i literally mean 1 drop.

    easy fix.

go to a hardware store and get a "damaged screw remover". get the biggest one they have... not for a #6 or # 8, you need to go bigger to get something that is really stuck in there. lubricate the groves and let it sit to break down the corrosion. (you need a drill for this next part) this tool is is different than a screw extractor, being that one side of it has a twisted point to start a hole. first start the hole with the twisted point, then flip the bit and use it just like a regular drill bit (the reverse side is a normal screw extractor). on the opposite side of the bit is a reverse spiral which draws whatever it is that is stuck right out. don't press down too hard, as with anytime using a drill just apply light pressure and it will work.

I dont think he talking about the allen screws he is talking about the tabs n the fin. Most of the time it you are using a FCS key to loosen the screws and it strips thats what its designed to do to prevent damage to the fin screw just get a allen wrench in the same size as the FCS key . Shoot a little ( and I mean a little) of PB Blaster in the wholes let it sit and use the allen wrench on the set screws they will come free with you put light presure on it.

this has worked for me everytime
