Jones Beach Dawn Patrol

    I've never surfed Jones Beach, is the park open for surfer's at 5am on a weekday? Can I drive all the way to the west end of the park?

    Jones Beach Loop Hole

    Jones beach does not allow surfing and i believe there's dawn patrol and lifeguards there from the time the sun rises to when it sets.However jones beach west end is closed down and therefore acccesable to surf. No one stops you from going, its is free to park, and the surf is pretty decent for long island. I have been going there for 2 years and never had a problem.
