It's a pain but get on the meds

Get yourself to the doc asap if you haven't already and get the meds. You will always show the blood work on tests, but if you get the meds in you right away you should be fine. I caught it in college and got it treated within a week (had the bullseye right on the back of my thigh, gave the doc and her interns a nice show). Didn't have any problems through the rest of college. Get it now so the meds have time to work so you get better for when it picks up again in a few weeks.

    Get Meds.

I had it for a long time and didn't know. See a docctor and take all of the meds. You'll be 100% in a week. Nasty disease !

Beware folks! I didn't have the bullseye, but I was tired all of the time. My knee swelled up and I had it drained 2x's before i realized what it was. The test is simple. When in doubt, get tested.

Good luck. Lyme sucks a fatty - one of my friends has it and it was a long struggle (even just to get diagnosed!)

I don't know if reading with a massive headache will do you any good, but if you're up for it you could check out the book West of Jesus in your down-time. The author had lyme and rehabilitates himself through surfing. It covers a ton of surfing history, the science and psychology of near-death experiences, and has a good story as well. Its a great book to read on a flat, day, too.

    A review: http://contemporarylit.about.com/od/philosophyreligion/fr/westOfJesus.htm

    On the Amazon: http://www.amazon.com/West-Jesus-Surfing-Science-Origins/dp/1596910518

    Again, good luck.

Thanks Guys. I was hoping for this type of info. I didn't even know I had a nasty bulls eye on the butt, Doc saw it. (no NOT Dr. Jelly finger) when she lifted my shirt to use the stethoscope.

So on the meds and the fever broke, have to get past barfing and the damn headache.
But hey I'm down 7 pounds! Just have to get strong again for Cane season.

I appreciate the support! I'll check out that book.

Did they do MRIs for organ damage?
