I'm going u to North Jersey to visit some friends in a few days and I'm hoping to drive up to LI to see a friend also. Factoring in traffic and surf conditions, I'm trying to decide where to squeeze in a session or two. I don't want to go north of Montauk. Any suggestions?

    Thanks!

Don't know what you mean by "north of Montauk." What part of the island will be you at?

North of Montauk is long island sound. Montauk is at the tip of the eastern end of long island.

Right, so I'm pretty much willing to travel anywhere along the LI strip. I didnt realize Montauk was as far north as I could get haha.

No offense to you by any means, but we do not need another kook out in the water in Long Island, we have been dealing with this serious issue of people "not knowing where to surf" and when we finally get swell during this horrid time of year, you people have no respect out in the ocean. If you want to surf in NY, then please wait your turn like the rest of us are.

No problem, I'll just keep on land sunday so Mr. Headhighandhollow can have all the waves on LI to himself. Grow up tool.

The roads and breaks on eastern LI will be crowded out this weekend. They were crowded this morning by 7am. I mean this in a friendly way, I'd stay west.

I agree. Maybe you should try to squeeze in a session. It's totally worth it I think. But you aren't going to be the only one out there.
