Not a fan of Dono, at all. His music is ok, but when he came to play the Stone Pony last year he acted like he was too good for NJ. Too start, they had set up this big stage outside for him but when he got there he refused to play on it. He demanded to play indoors on a beautiful night, so the huge crowd had to stuff into the Pony.

He turned alot of people into Dono Haters after that. I personally don't really care, but I thought I would share...

His Ego is so big he could power NYC for a week . I watch a interview with him and he seems like he is the biggest thing to ever happen to surfing and music. His surfing and music are okay at best . I am not impressed one bit . The guy comes off in his interviews as a tool bag with a 70's porno stash

I ran into him yesterday right before the show in Asbury as my friend and I were walking back from the surfing beach. He was standing by himself on the boardwalk and asked my friend an I if we had been out. He pointed to a jetty and said "you guys should paddle back out it looks like a sick little wave coming off the jetty. I'll be out in a few if you want to go for a surf." So he seemed pretty chill. He basically told my buddy and I to surf with him and he took a photo with us. He was right too, it was a sick little wave coming off of low tide very ripable.

Not really a Donavon listener. Saw him for the first time last night. Didn't mind sitting at the Stone Pony with a few Yuengling's listening to him for 2 hours. Again, if we compared everyone to Lennon, Hendrix and Morrison we'd have less than 10 musicians playing today... Plus he hangs out with and supports local artists like Quincy Mumford and Jay Alders. Jersey Love from Donavon.... Just relax and have a good time my man.

As a surfer / dude he seems pretty cool. As a musician, he's on par with Quincy Mumford - LAME! :)
