You probably dont need anything, cuz apparently theres sharks that live in the ocean now and they are really dangerous!

But seriously the water is mid to high 70's. you can trunk it, rash gaurd, or if youre really used to warmer water a spring suit.

For safety, defintely wear a shark skin suit as camouflage.

Despite the Jersey ocean temperatures not being all that warm when compared to how hot the spring/summer has been it's warmer than San Diego. I am moving out there in the fall, so myself, and my buddies I am moving with went over the 4th of July weekend, and we got taken around all over the county by their buddies. The water there was 3/2 conditions for all of us. In Jersey the ocean temps have been hit, and miss some days. It actually seemed warmer three weeks ago. Though I had been in Florida for the two months prior[Delray Beach, and Naples] so it seems cold to me. I usually go just shorts upper 60s, and up so I been going like that since I been back up this way three weeks ago. Though I have actually not been up in Monmouth or Ocean counties at all, so I don't know what it's like up there. I would get ready for the mobs of people though cause the beaches are PACKED this time of year. I mean I would bet every beach on the Jersey Coast is more packed in the summer than San Diego gets at any time of the year, but thats purely speculation as I have never been to San Diego in different seasons.

nah water isn't nearly that warm. 23 degrees centigrade was my last reading a few days ago. i'll let you figure that out. you'll see it's not upper 70's at all

Bring boardies and a springsuit and you'll be covered. Never know if we'll get some upwelling from a hard south wind.
