    Define "Vintage"

Trust me when I say, the 80's are NOT Vintage.

<<Dewey never reaped any benefit from the longboarding revival to capture the magic touch he once had on top a surfboard. By the 1980s, years of hard drinking were beginning to take their toll.>>

<<When Dewey died in 1993, news of his passing went around the world. Newspaper and broadcast eulogies appeared virtually everywhere. The California State Senate adjourned in his honor. "His death," wrote Jeff Duclos, "reaffirmed something Dewey had completely lost sight of.>>

Now if that were a Harold Iggy Model, then I'd have to say $400 was a good deal.

I'm interested and would love to see some pics. Let me know if you have any. I'm in the Belmar area, so I could come up your way if need be.

Looks nice. Any pics of the new fin? How heavy is the thing? Will you be around this week so I can come by and take a look at it?

Questions on an early Dewey Weber board.

    Hello,
A long time ago I came across a beautiful Dewey Weber surfboard. I've shown it to numerous people, but nobody can tell me what kind of Dewey it is. It's very unusual, a work of art. It has three red wood stringers, one thick center redwood stringer, a thin stringer to the right and one that curves down the board. The board is exactly 10' long. before i got the board in '85 i had been told that it had been sitting for decades. Barely any damage, very clean. the white portions were there when i acquired the board in '85 and i was told that it was with the board. it looks like there's sun damage on the top, but there's barely any, the picture was shot in the shade and it looks slightly darker.

So, I was wondering what kind it was, an early "Legend" perhaps?
Attached are some pictures that I recently took of it down in San Diego. i sent along this message to Randy Rarrick as well as the Dewey Weber email link on their site for any info that they might have. also I was wondering the value of the board as well.

Any information would be GREATLY appreciated.
    Regards,

If it's still available, you guys should meet up at Darlington. You can test ride it in peace, as nobody ever goes there.

    Berlin -

    That is CRAZY!

How does the curvy stringer go right through the big center stringer? I mean I know it doesnt really pass through it like it looks like - surely the curvy stringer is cut right in half - I still think its amazing to glue up a blank that way...or am i missing something?

    Dewey Weber.

the curved redwood stringer does cut through the thicker center redwood stringer and up the board. take a look at the pic. pretty cool board!

    by the way, Motorhead rocks!
