Shots are gorgous.. how do you get your water shots?? Is it a water proof case or just the whole camera??
Ive heard that most cases you will loose clarity with cases...it doesn't show at all in your pictures. What kind of camera were you using?
Nice work man. See you're still working the pull-back stuff. Still like this stuff. I am sure it's not as immediate as far as getting someone to take them for dough, but it's new (well, new-ish. It hasn't been popular for a while and only recently re-emerged). With each session you post you can see you're dialing it in more and more. Jealous.
sonny, I appreciate the comments. I think the pulled back stuff really works well if you have a cool background or foreground. I've found them to be harder shots to get than any other beach shots. Sometimes the window for a good clear shot is MUCH smaller (like in the fence shots from this gallery or between the pier pilings.) I've also taken to changing my focal points to be either at the very bottom or the very top (horizontal or vertical) to get a lot of foreground or background instead of directly in the center (which can get boring after seeing a lot of them) So just trying to change it up. davemac, when shooting with a housing it should look the same as shooting without a housing. No clarity loss whatsoever. You start having clarity loss when you don't have a nice sheet of water on the port (front of the housing). Never touch a port with your fingertips. The oil will cause the water to start forming into spots of water which will be big blurs in the photos. I just lick the port and slowly dip it in the water and slowly raise it out. Do this 3 times or so, and you'll be spot free for a whole session as long as you don't let it dry. I'm shooting with a Canon 50D and SPL Housing. I'm no pro at this, but it's what I've learned so far..... hope it helps
