So I am planning on heading to Nicaragua the end of Sept, possibly to the Popoyo camp since I am more than likely going solo. Wondering if anyone has been there? To the camp, or just to Nicaragua in general. What can I expect? Advice?

    Thanks in advance.

I would look into Nicawaves.com Mike's a cool guy and will take you where you want to go. He will provide taxi service from the airport. And you will be living in between Popoyo and Santanas. You can walk to either break and he has a restaurant right outside your door.

    going solo

I would go to Popoyo like you have planned if your going solo. I have gone on many Solo surf trips and staying in a camp is your best bet unless your vert adventurous on your own.

    Solo

Its late season I havent been to Nica in Sept but I have been to CR in OCT and Nov best to ask Popoyo about how conditions will be but in General Sept oct are rainy months in Central America but that doesnt mean you wont score some good surf and may be little less crowded than summer Months since school is in session and it not peak season...
