Sh!t yesterday Yeah, are you smoking crack? I should have done that, and maybe that slop would have looked better. Guys at the contest were ripping the rights down by the jetty when I checked that out in mid-afternoon, but they're a hell of a lot better than me. Not to mention when I drove up to North End, it was (barely) waist-chest and total crap. Now it's Sunday and I'm stuck on the ship on duty. I hope all you bastards have a good friggen time while I'm sitting on a boat in Norfolk. Jk, seriously though, I hope it did clean up for the enjoyment of all. I guess by now the wind is starting to tear it up anyway.
It was surprisingly clean... I surfed south of Croatan, the place where only guys like you have access to. There were a few bombs, the lulls were a lot shorter than yesterday, and the sets came a lot quicker.
I surfed around 40th street on saturday from 11-3 and from 43rd-48th this morning from 7-12. I had more fun on saturday afternoon. It wasnt as clean but it was bigger. This morning was clean but inconsistent and packed. Crowds thinned out around 10:30-11am with hightide and waves turning into shorebreak. I've never seen so many f'n longboarders on both days. It used to be that only old men had longboards. I'm seeing more and more dudes in their teens and 20's riding them.... Another reason VB sucks.

ecsc was sick easy head hi sets for the finals and cleannn thinking the dawn patrol will be good tomm. AM - buoy just jumped 2 feet and is up to 7.2 ft @ 13 . thats about the biggest its been (and exceeds earlier forecasts) dont see how it could drop off and wouldnt be real fun w the light offshores and incoming push early..
I wish I could've gone and checked out that Duct Tape Invitational... one of the guys who made it to the semi's is from my hometown and he's going up against some names
yeah ecsc dawn patrol was really fun this morning. i was out there at 5:45 at the jetty this morning with only ten other guys out. I won my final because of that sesh.
