Found a nice little break out in Deal today no one in the water from MB to Asbury as I was getting ready to stand ups started walking out to the water nd paddling out the rest of the HARDCORE guys I talked to said it looked to dangours nd it was really way to big??? ..... Paddled out shortly after the other two got out nd people started running to their cars to get the borads bout 6 of us out waves prob around 7-13ft very fun came close to drowning tho tomorrow dawn patrol south looks like its gonna be good.
Breathin underwater I almost drowned in kitty hawk NC this evening. The top of the water was all whitewater and i couldnt get my head above the surface. Almost breathed in water. Muscles and lungs were done
Same here I couldnt get up back over the wave because it kind of closed out in the middle of it so I tried going under nd popping back out,,,, well that didnt work all it did was suck me under hit the bottom which was actually very deep tried kicking and swimming up but the undertoe just kept me nd my board under water started to swallow a little bit eventually got back up which felt like it was a mintue longest 15 seconds of my life....
deal was huge this afternoon. two dudes w/ guns were getting some good ones and some bodyboarder got a few also. i thought about for like forty min but it really didn't look that fun. ended up surfing long branch some overhead heavy as **** waves. if it's knee high at 6am tomorrow i will be absolutely stunned
Yeah, i dont see how it can be that small. I cant get a morning session in so im gonna go in the afternoon, i hope theres still a little size to it.
probably was. red rashguard? i saw you get a few. if it goes from that to knee high in 12 hrs i will seriously be speechless
You have some stones....glad you made it out alright. was watching some of the surfline cams, nj spots looked out of control. long island looked pretty awesome, though.
Delaware was on fire 6ft w/plus sets, crowded as hell, but got a fair share of waves, I had no drowning incidents, but got hit several times by other surfers boards and dropped in on many times, thanks to Maryland restricting water access, everyone from Maryland came up north to Delaware
for what it's worth, when I get closed out, I usually just stop struggling and wait for the wave to lose power before surfacing. saves energy and air and makes the paddle out easier
