hey guys i was wondering if you know where any good breaks are in ocmd in late september. And what are the water conditions like? I wanna to get more serious with bodyboarding and im trying to convince my mom to go down for a day or so cause ive always wanted to go down in the later summer/ early fall season.

    Thanks!

(i know i probably sound like a noob but whatever =P)

September is tropical season and I would guess the water will be in the 70's. You can catch waves between 140th and 1st street, enjoy.

eh honestly most spots are better due to the bigger surf, but if you are just starting out then literally any place is fine. plus most of the sandbars have shifted around b/c of the recent storms so my advice is drive up to a spot, check it, then drive down 10 blocks, check it, repeat. continue till you like a spot.

Part of the fun of surfing is looking for a spot that works but is uncrowded. A little trial and error never hurts, but don't waste the morning driving around. You shouldn't need a wetsuit until some time in october unless the wind is blowing hard.

Fall is my favorite time of year. less crowds, warm water, cooler air, decent waves. Have fun!
