I used to love the wave (when its big enough) at the Cove on Sandy Hook. They really killed that break with all the sand they have pumped in over the last few years. I really need to find a better backup spot.

At this point, you should probably take off Monday. Igor is taking his time getting up here for sure.

After what happened with Danielle i wont get my hopes up. There is still that upper trough that can pull this up north and away from coast. What did Monmouth County do wrong to deserve all this skunking!!?

We're batting .500 so far this season. Too early to get pissed.

Upper level winds north of RI are cranking westerly. Therefore, this storm should move relatively slowly untill it gets off RI. Waves should be much more substantial than Danielle. NO DOUBT!!! Jersey - Thursday thru the weekend. Hard to say how close it might get. Further away the better. Some current models indicate 6 ft @ 14-16 seconds. That's alot of energy. Start waxing the semi guns!!!!

i dont think we're going to need the stepups just yet. danielle and earl were projected to be so big i was considering borrowing my neighbor's. your standard shortboard should be fine when its shoulder-head high

agreed, at this time, id say expect a swell that would be if you took the middle ground between earl and danielle. in other words bigger sets (size more similar to earl) but acting like danielle (more closeouts similar to danielle). thats how im interpreting this swell atm
