Similar to Danielle, the swell propagation is taking a longer time to head northward than the wave models have predicted... It is making its way up northward, so don't dismay. I think peak projections will be on target, and just more of a gradual slope getting there.

And as with Danielle, buoy data is on target with Swellinfo and wave model prediction.

The buoys off of Hatteras through Delmarva are starting to show substantial long period energy, and slowly but surely this will reach the northeast. Northern new England is currently seeing minimal Igor energy, and will be the last to feel it.

I believe most areas in the Mid Atlantic will be on pace with current Swellinfo projections, while the Northeast will likely be lagging behind a bit.

It is important to note that the majority of swell that was seen from Delmarva through Cape Cod today was a south short period wind swell from the frontal system that moved off the East coast Thursday evening into Friday morning.

Igor swell will rise on Saturday, but much more significantly on Sunday and peak on Monday.

    That's all for now.

Good luck and have fun :)

The southern NJ buoys ate starting to look good, almost 5 feet at 15 seconds. Watching the buoys gets me stoked, everytime I check they're a little bigger its like an addiction haha

Belmar was going off today, 4-6 feet, clean and barreling.

i am on my way down to buxton as i write this. hopefully, the winds will stay light and a little more westerly. what do you think mr. swellinfo? what are the chances for it staying clean today in buxton?

About 1% chance of clean surf for the East facing breaks in OBX.

I enjoy reading your take and info on the storms more so than reading the forecast! Keep up the good work and your info is well appreciated.
    So interesting.
Warm water, big waves, skip work- life is good!
    Thanks Mr. Swellinfo,

I think the wind is going to kill us during the whole swell. sucks. I see the only spots seeing any action will be face south beaches. Frisco fishermans island and cape may..
