I am sitting here frustrated in Corolla (been here since Sunday afternoon). It's 9am tuesday, there is still swell size. It is glassy, -0- wind, but the swell is still disorganized, mushy. High tide and breaking on the outside and inside bars. The ocean still needs to settle down, alot of curent, water and rips. Winds will be out of the east 5-10, then south, sw early am. May be better tommorow I have been checking up and down the obx and about the same conditions, Rodanthe, Lighthouse, Frisco. I sit here on the internet searching and wondering if there is a better spot, sandbar or nook. Is anyone out this morning at Obx? I will be here till Sunday, will update.
Red Flags where up all day. ese winds 15+, waist-chest and mushy., inside break smashing against the bar, alot of paddling, duck diving to get outside, even at high tide at 7pm. Winds are forcasted to go offshore 3am, 7mph lightly all day, should be waist+ and glassy with a more managable ocean. Should be a good day tommorow. Get on it!
