    Bleak swell forecast looks like Mid July or Mid January....wtf? Thought Oct was the most surf/swell abundant month. Bummer..........................

    why can't this wind and weather today and tonight make any waves?
    some weather forecasts are talking about a noreaster coastal low happening today and tonight.
    i do not understand

    I think it might be a bug in software. The wave maps show some decent waves...

    . PERIODS OF RAIN...MAINLY IN THE EVENING. VSBY 1 TO 3 NM
    AFTER MIDNIGHT.

    going to be open ocean swell generated by offshore wind

    Good point Motion...I didn't realize the waves were being generated from an offshore wind...looks like forecast is right after all. I pretty much assumed it was a bug b/c the forecast looked so strange for this time of year, sorry about that guys.

    When you look at the wave maps, the white arrows indicate the swell direction. So, for today, the white arrows are pointing away from the coast.
